The Ideon Network, the Network of Municipalities of Psiloritis, has been granted \u20ac15,000 to implement the project \u201cClimate Crisis and Biodiversity in the Psiloritis Geopark: Actions and materials for raising awareness in the local community\u201d. This is carried out under the funding programme\u201cNATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE RESILIENCE 2025\u201d (Priority Axis 1: \u201cProtection of Natural Environment \u2013 Climate Resilience & Other Actions\u201d) \u2014 Outreach Actions 2025, funded by the Green Fund.

<\/em>Three day Summer Training School Seminar for Teachers\nTopic: \u201cClimate Crisis and Biodiversity in the UNESCO Global Geopark of Psiloritis: An educational approach for the active citizen\u201d | 27 28 29 June 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

This summer school seminar was successfully held on those dates, organized by the Psiloritis Geopark, the Centre for Environmental Education and Sustainability (KEPEA) of Anogeia, and the Municipality of Anogeia.<\/p>\n

The summer school is part of the aforementioned project \u201cClimate Crisis and Biodiversity \u2026 raising awareness\u201d under the Funding Programme \u201cNATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE NEUTRALITY 2025\u201d (Priority Axis 1: Protection of Natural Environment \u2013 Climate Neutrality & Other Actions) \u2014 Outreach Actions 2025, with the Ideon Network as beneficiary.<\/p>\n

Scientific presentations and hands on field workshops were held in the Psiloritis Geopark. Our sincere thanks to the outstanding speakers for their thorough and engaging talks, the facilitators of the field based workshops, and all the participating teachers who came from across Greece to attend. Also participating were a representative of the Green Fund, the Chair of the UNECE Education for Sustainable Development Committee and Head of the EPA A unit of the Cyprus Ministry of Education, representatives from OFYPEKA \u2014 Samaria National Forest Management Unit \/ Western Crete Protected Areas & Eastern Crete Protected Areas \/ Climate Change Department of OFYPEKA, scientists from the Natural History Museum of Crete, the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, the Hellenic Mediterranean University, the Sociology Department of the University of Crete, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Rethymno, members of the Educational Teams of all KEPEA centres in Crete and KEPEA Mesolongi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
