The Psiloritis Geopark is located in central Crete and encompasses the Psiloritis mountain range, from its southern foothills in the Messara region and the Amari basin, to its northern extension in the Kouloukonas range and the Cretan Sea. Administratively, it spans the regional units of Heraklion and Rethymno.
It covers an area of 1,272 square kilometres.
